A Shakespearean Romp
Saturday, October 18, 2025, 6:00pm

In this “tossed” theatrical rendition, our merry cast of singers and instrumentalists tell you the story of how Prospero summons his dutiful servant, Ariel, to conjure a masque for a waiting audience (you!). Will he keep his promise to free Ariel at the end of the evening’s revels? You’ll have to come and find out!

Get To Know The Music
The Tempest Tossed features stunning music from the English Baroque by composers such as Henry Purcell and Matthew Locke. Here are some sound samples to enjoy from a 2022 performance by Tenet. Couch’d by the pleasant Heliconian spring sung by James Reese and Jonathan Woody, and Tell me, some pitying angel sung by Elisa Sutherland.
