Come explore the art of Robert Burns, Scotland’s National Poet nicknamed 'The Bard of Humanity.' You'll hear Burns' deeply expressive lyrics flowing over fiddle tunes and folk songs. Revel in music from the Renaissance to today, with rousing Scottish dances, sonatas, jigs, and reels. As a special treat, the Brooklyn show includes drinks and nibbles!

Getting there: Cullen Hall at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is located at 199 Carroll Street in Brooklyn. It’s accessible by public transportation and the closest subway stop is at Carroll Street on the F/G trains. From there, it’s a 2 block walk to Cullen Hall. Limited street parking is available, so we recommend using public transit, ride share, or allowing extra time if driving.
Before you go: Plan to arrive early to find your seat and enjoy the ambiance of the venue. This show is about 65-70 minutes with no intermission. Drinks and nibbles will be served!
SATURDAY EVENING
Getting there: St. Luke in the Fields is located at 487 Hudson Street at Grove Streets between Christopher and Barrow Streets in the West Village. It’s handicap accessible and nearby subway stations include: 1/A/B/C/D/E/F/M trains with the closest stop at Christopher Street on the 1 line. Limited street parking is available, so we recommend using public transit, ride share, or allowing extra time if driving.

Take a listen to Robert Burns’ tune “O Fickle Fortune” from Tenet’s The Lady Fortune concert for Music Before 1800 in 2023 featuring vocalists Jolle Greenleaf, Elisa Sutherland, James Reese and instrumentalists Shira Kammen, Dongmyung Ahn, Grant Herreid, and Priscilla Herreid.
