Ben Ross

Baritone Ben Ross has been praised for their dynamic performances and stylistic flexibility from early music to opera to gospel and contemporary idioms. They have been featured as a soloist with Bach in Baltimore, the Hartford Choral Society, the Peabody Symphony Orchestra, the South Florida Symphony Orchestra, the Rockford Symphony Orchestra, and the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra in works from Bach’s B Minor Mass to Bernstein’s Candide. Equally comfortable on stage, they have appeared in roles with Opera Baltimore, Opera Delaware, St Pete Opera, Annapolis Opera, Thompson St. Opera, Cedar Rapids Opera, and the Opera Company of Middlebury. Ben has received several fellowships supporting their work and artistic development from music festivals around the United States including Spoleto Festival USA, Brevard Music Center, Source Song Festival, and SongFest.

Ben helps facilitate the Tenet Trailblazers program as Mentorship Coordinator, and is a former Trailblazer. This program supports emerging singers interested in early music, focusing on cultivating artistry, fostering entrepreneurship, and building community. Learn more here.
