Morgan Mastrangelo

Morgan Mastrangelo’s performances have been hailed as “Terrific” (The New York Times), “a standout” (Parterre Box), and “eye-catching and ear-popping” (Boston Musical Intelligencer). Equally at home on the operatic and concert stage, they recently made their European debut as Astolfe in Lully’s Roland at Opéra Royal Versailles with the period instrument orchestra i Gemelli. Other operatic credits include roles with Boston Lyric Opera, Opera Grand Rapids, Wichita Grand Opera, Beth Morrison Projects’ PROTOTYPE Festival, and New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players.

On the concert stage, they sang the tenor solo in Bach’s BWV 92 with conductor Harry Bicket for Bach Vespers New York, and recently debuted with Boston Baroque as tenor soloist in the Coffee Cantata, BWV 211. They maintain a long-standing relationship with Emmanuel Music, having sung tenor solos in over 15 cantatas in their celebrated weekly Bach series. Additional concert credits include Handel’s Messiah and Orff’s Carmina Burana at Carnegie Hall. They are the 2nd Prize winner of the 2025 Concours du chant Baroque Froville, and a prize winner of the Handel Aria Competition, American National Oratorio Competition, and 2024 Lyndon-Woodside Oratorio Competition. They are an alumnus of the Young Artist Programs of Opera Saratoga and Teatro Nuovo, and hold degrees from Northwestern University and New England Conservatory.
