The vocal ensemble Blue Heron and the wind band Dark Horse Consort join forces for a festive program of music from 16th-century Spain. The program features sonorous sacred polyphony, delightful dances, and secular songs performed by an ensemble of singers and instrumentalists wielding cornetts, sackbuts, and recorders. Music by Juan de Urrede, Francisco de Peñalosa, Cristóbal de Morales, Francisco Guerrero, and others.
