Filip Duda

Chicago-based tenor Filip Duda is a versatile artist with a passion for early music, vocal chamber music, and opera. A dedicated performer of baroque repertoire, he has appeared at the Five Cities Baroque Festival (2023, returning as a Young Artist in 2025 and 2026), Chicago’s Landowska Harpsichord Society, also participating in Oberlin’s Baroque Performance Institute (2019). Likewise comfortable in the world of opera, he has appeared as King Kaspar (Amahl and the Night Visitors), Young Ivan Turgenev (Notes on Viardot) and Dr. Blind (Die Fledermaus), each with Music On Site, as well as Mr. Upfold (Albert Herring), Telemaco (Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria), and Bardolfo (Falstaff) with DePaul Opera Theate. Filip is cantor at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Barrington, IL, where he also leads the choir. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Illinois Wesleyan University and M.Mus. in Voice from DePaul University. www.filip-duda.com
